Our Story

The United Snakes originally formed as a jam band in 1989 and quickly became one of the Windsor areas most popular bands.    A four piece band consisting of drums, bass, guitar, and keyboards.  Having played several years on the Windsor/ Detroit  music scene the band took a break in the mid 90's to pursue different avenues in the music industry.    After several years hiatus they reformed as a three piece band and decided to get out and start playing music together again.  This started a new chapter in the band and with a new drummer in tow they were back where they left off playing great music together again.

After a few years as a 3 piece playing all the area clubs, festivals, and casinos.  Original keyboardist Tony Calabrese came back into the fold and this opened the door to a new direction for the band.   After playing most of the years together as a variety cover band.  They decided to pursue the tribute avenue and specialize in 70's rock and roll.  Which is what the band really excelled at anyway.   So it seemed fitting to do this era of music.   With 3 original members Mark Chichkan, Mitch Taylor , Tony Calabrese , and new drummer Jim Bonventre.   The band made its debut at Caesars Windsor as a 70's rock tribute to great reviews in 2015.

Now the band is back playing steady and the accolades are rolling in from people who appreciate the effort the band put in to bringing some of the 70's best rock and roll to the local and regional stages.    With note for note renditions of classic songs from the biggest  rock artists of the 70's .  Most walk away from a United Snakes shows feeling immersed in a 70's experience that takes them back to an era of music that is timeless and powerful.   The United Snakes not only perform the music as close as possible to the originals. But they are dressing the part on stage and they feel the band must look and sound the part to give an authentic vibe to a night of 70's rock and roll. Changes in costume are regular happenings per set when you see the band.
